Security’s primary responsibility at ACCCA is access control. The officers stationed at the gatehouse use Dwelling Live to ensure that no one can enter the community until we know where they are going. Security also has several duties that we perform and provide in addition to access control:
- We patrol the communities to monitor the common areas and to look for anything suspicious.
- We enforce parking policies and conduct speed and stop sign enforcement. This enforcement is conducted to help provide a safer community.
- If a resident is going on vacation, upon their filling out a home check request, patrol will check your home three times a day. We can either perform a drive-by and check the front of your home, or a perimeter check. If anything suspicious is observed Security will contact the resident or individual they designated as their emergency contact.
- Security is also responsible for opening and securing the Willow Knolls pool when it is in service.
- Residents come to the gatehouse to have transponders installed and activated.

Our front entrance is staffed 24 hours a day. Visitors, guests, and vendors are checked in by the security staff at the left side of the entrance. All visitors must be authorized by a resident to enter the community. Residents are encouraged to use the DwellingLive application or website to pre-approve visitors to speed up entry approval. If a visitor is not on the DwellingLive list, the gatehouse will attempt to contact the resident by phone for their approval. Visitors must provide a photo ID when entering. If a visitor cannot be approved by a resident or cannot or will not show a photo ID, they will be denied entry.
Flex lane hours: 2pm - 8pm weekdays (residents may use this inner lane for entry). A green light is shown above the gatehouse when the flex lane is open.
The outer resident lane will be closed daily from 9pm to 5am. During this time, residents must use the flex lane.
